ATOPIC DERMATITIS (as infantile
eczema)
Also known as infantile eczema, it is a disorder
characterized by an extremely itchy and hypersensitive
skin. A disorder mainly related to children, it
is estimated that 90% of patients develop symptoms
before the age of five. It starts as a simple red
rash and then spreads all over the body in the form
of dry or oozing scaly eruptions, very often localized
at the elbow bends, back of knees and the neck.

Hereditary factors
Dust and pollen
Wool or synthetic fibres
Soaps and detergents
Food allergies
Emotional trauma
White patches
This is a common skin disorder.
