Indication |
To isolate and identify aerobic and anaerobic organisms present in the endometrium

Physiology |
Clinical findings are associated with anaerobic infections in the mucosal surface, foul smelling discharge, gas in tissues, abscess formation. The most common isolates are anaerobic gram positive cocci and Bacteroides sp.
