Indication Elevated in conditions of cirrohosis, hepatitis, and jaundice.
Normal Range 17-59U/L
Interpretation High levels-Liver damage, hepatiis, necrosis, kidney or lung changes. Low levels - Vitamin B6 deficiency. AST to ALT ratio is directly proportional to alcohol dependance.
