We, the faculty of Aravind Eye Care System,
take great pleasure in inviting you to Phaco, Microphaco, SICS : BASICS &
BEYOND... to be held between December 10 and 12, 2004 at Aravind Eye Hospital,
Madurai. Cataract Surgery is rapidly evolving with innovations in techniques,
machines, IOLs and supplies. This is a3-day programme, which will highlight the
basics and recent advances in cataract surgery. The purpose of this workshop is
to take stock of what is existing and what can be anticipated. There will
belectures and live surgery sessions by well renowned faculty both international
and national. Wetlab sessions will be conducted on phacoemulsification and
bimanual microphaco. This will be an opportunity to meet, listen, share &
